Congratulations to Alicia Czosnyka on her performance at the IHSA Swim Meet. Alicia placed 12th in the 200 IM and 11th in the 500 Free.

Seniors:  College of Lake County will be here TODAY DURING ALL LUNCH PERIODS.  If you are unsure of your plans after high school or know you want to attend CLC, stop by, fill out your application, and get your questions answered. Check your email to find a sign-up link to have an appointment with the admissions rep or just stop in.

If you are Interested in computer science or data visualization, then join us on THURSDAY at 3:15 in A119 to hear a career presentation. Ms. Jamnik is a Loyola University Chicago graduate with a degree in statistics and international studies. She works as a data analyst for TranzAct Technologies, enhancing supply chain logistics.

If you have not yet done your FAFSA, come to the College and Career Center TOMORROW from 12:30 -3:30. Students and parents can get individual help. Any questions, reach out to Ms. Knott.

D and D/Tabletop Gaming will meet TOMORROW AFTER SCHOOL in the HUB.

Any female athletes that are not in a winter sport, come and join the Polar Bears! This fitness club will help you get stronger and more agile. Polar Bear Fitness Club will start TODAY and meet three times per week, MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS and FRIDAYS from 3:50 – 4:40.  We will meet in the Hallway outside of the Athletic Office.  Make sure to have running shoes, a water bottle, a snack and clothes for working out for weather conditions inside and outside. Earn Polar Bear gear and bring your friends!

Any senior who will be continuing their career in athletics after high school and signing a letter of intent to play at their university next year, there will be a signing day photo event on Thursday Dec 4 AFTER SCHOOL. Sign up in the Athletic Office no later than Friday November 28.

If you would like to donate clothes, stuffed animals, and other fabric items in any condition… Drop them off in the bin anytime,  located  between the lower and PAC lots! LZHS collected 845 pounds of donated textiles in the first 6 months of operation! Look for flyers around the building for more information on what you can donate.

Juniors, please remind your parents of the Junior College Planning Presentation for Parents: TONIGHT at 7:00 p.m. In the PAC. Parents are encouraged to attend to learn about how to begin the college search process. (see email from Ms. Knott for more info)  Juniors, you are free to come; however, you will be getting the same information next week during your U.S. History classes. Any questions, see Mrs. Knott.

Congratulations to the Girl’s Cross Country team for their excellent run and qualifying. We wish both teams good luck as they compete in the State Meet this weekend!

The online webstore has opened orders for Playoff Hoodies again!  Orders due TODAY BY NOON to guarantee your size as S, XL, 2XL, 3XL sold out at the game last Saturday.  Pick up hoodies during lunch periods on FRIDAY in the Cafeteria. Here are today's Red Ribbon Week facts about MARIJUANA.  A recent study shows that regular marijuana use during the teen years disrupts brain development.  It also leads to problems with attention span, behavior, and impulse control.   Marijuana also affects school performance in the following ways: • Problems with memory • Problems with learning • Trouble with problem-solving. If you think you or someone you know may have a problem with marijuana, please talk to a family member, counselor, social worker, nurse or trusted adult. TOMORROW’S theme is “Show Pride in Being Drug Free, “ wear your Bear Wear!

Do you want to try out for our winter musical, CHICAGO: TEEN EDITION? Vocal auditions are TODAY in the choir room from 3:45 -6:00 pm. Dance auditions are THSHIOEVENING from 6:30-8:30pm in the poms room. To sign up for an audition time slot or have any questions reach out to Mr. Juknelis.
