TODAY, is Veteran’s Day – If you have a parent, grandparent, relative or friend, that is a Vet, be sure to wish them a Happy Veteran’s Day and thank them for serving our country.

12 Days of Giving Continues! TODAY we will spotlight: local food pantries. Please bring in canned or shelf food items as well as fun items like packaged candy and cake mixes. See @lzhsstudco Twitter for more gifting ideas. 

TODAY in the Learning and Innovation Hub. Panelists include a technical program manager from Apple, a robotics engineer from Lockheed Martin, a process and reliability engineer from IBM, and more. The panel discussion runs during 7th, 8th, and 9th periods from 12:00 pm to 1:21 pm. Please get a pass for your teacher to sign from Ms. Serowka or Dr. Moller to attend.

The Athletic College signing photo-opportunity will be TODAY AFTER SCHOOL.  This photo-op is for any student athlete that will be continuing their athletic career at the collegiate level.  Please stop by the Athletic Office to sign up.

TODAY, in the Cafeteria, Tech Campus will be visiting to discuss all of their career and technical programs. The Tech Campus is an extension site of many area high schools for Juniors and Seniors to attend classes in a specific career training program. Feel free to stop by and ask about any of the programs. Congrats to the Boys Cross Country team! Firstly, they were conference champs, then regional champs, and now they are on their way to State! This will be the fourteenth year in a row the team has qualified for State. Also congrats to the all sectional athletes: Danny Burns, Dylan Myers, and Brooke Johnston. Come on out and support our Varsity Girls’ Volleyball Team in the Regional Championship TONIGHT at 6:00 pm at Round Lake High School.

Any students interested in riding a fan bus to Batavia for Friday’s Playoff game, please sign up in the Athletic Office, during school hours. The cost is free for all students courtesy of the Quarterback Club. There must be a minimum of 15 students for the bus to run and you must be registered before the end of the day Thursday.

If you ordered a playoff hoodie, be sure to pick it up in the Cafeteria TODAY or TOMORROW. Playoff hoodies will be distributed at tables near the Atrium in the Cafeteria.  Go Bears!

Here is today’s Red Ribbon Week fact about VAPING. Most e-cigarettes contain nicotine, which is highly addictive. Nicotine can harm your brain development.  It can also affect your attention, learning, mood, and impulse control.  If you think you or someone you know has concerns with vaping, please talk to a family member, counselor, social worker, nurse or trusted adult.  TOMORROW is “Team Up Against Drugs”, so wear your favorite sports shirt or jersey.

Any students interested in riding a fan bus to Batavia for Friday’s Playoff game, please sign up in the Athletic Office, during school hours. The cost is free for all students courtesy of the Quarterback Club. There must be a minimum of 15 students for the bus to run and you must be registered before the end of the day Thursday.
