Recent LZHS Communications Detail

Dear Lake Zurich High School Parents/Guardians and Students,

Good afternoon, and Happy Friday!!!! I want to take a moment to share an awesome experience for our Culinary 3 students this semester. Students enrolled in Culinary 3 this semester partnered with our cafeteria food service, Quest, to create an idea for a sandwich to be sold at the deli station in the cafeteria. Dan Bicouvaris, our Food Service Director, presented students with this challenge and the requirements: their sandwiches had to include a spreadable topping, include ingredients that would be available at the deli station, and appeal to high school students. Four groups competed for the best sandwich, with the winner’s sandwich being featured in the cafeteria for the week of 4/14-4/18. Congratulations to Preetika Perumalla and Reese Tignino for rising to the challenge and creating the best overall sandwich! Stop by the deli station in the cafeteria next week to try out the winning croissant club sandwich for yourself!
