Principal's Newsletter 7/17/25

7/17/25

Dear Lake Zurich High School Parents, Guardians, and Students,

Welcome back (almost) for the 2025-2026 school year! This is my 21st year at Lake Zurich Community Unit School District 95. During this time, I have served in various capacities, including teacher, assistant principal, principal, and Director of Data, Assessment, and Programs. Last year was my second year as principal at Lake Zurich High School, and it was an incredible year—one of the best years I have ever had!

Personally, I am a father to two wonderful children Meara (15) and Sean (12).  I’ve been married to my wife Christy, a teacher, for the last 18 years.  A long time ago, I grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago and went to Farnsworth Elementary School and St. Patrick High School.  I find that Lake Zurich has many transplants from the Northwest side of Chicago, even a few parents who attended Farnsworth!!

One of the most important aspects of any organization, particularly schools, is effective communication.  Communication between home and school is essential to ensure our students' success.  There are multiple ways to find communications from the Lake Zurich High School administration.  On the Lake Zurich High School main webpage, there is an icon that says, “Recent School Communications.”  You can also find this under the “Parents” tab.  On the “Recent School Communications” page you will find “Newsletters,” “Recent LZHS Communications,” and “Link to District Communications.”  All Lake Zurich High School Administration communications can be found on this page.  Please click here to access this page.

Students and families should expect a newsletter from me twice a month.  Any communication from Lake Zurich High School Administration can be found in my newsletter.  It is an all-encompassing newsletter.  If you want a specific communication, go through the “Newsletter” or “Recent LZHS Communications” tab.  Finally, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone, e-mail, or in person.  Communication is key and so critical for students to be successful!  Please reach out if you need anything at all!
