9/14/26

Good afternoon, Bears! We have had an amazing start to the school year, and it has been great to see our students settling into their classes, reconnecting with friends and staff, and getting involved in everything LZHS has to offer. The energy throughout the building has made the first few weeks especially exciting. We are now looking forward to one of our favorite traditions of the year—Homecoming Week, September 22–26. With spirit days, activities, athletics, our pep assembly, and Homecoming festivities, it will be a great opportunity for our students and community to come together and celebrate what it means to be a Bear. We are excited to build on this outstanding beginning and make Homecoming Week a memorable one for our students!  If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Homecoming

Get ready for a Homecoming unlike any we’ve had before! This year, we’re taking the celebration outdoors and transforming the stadium into a high-energy festival experience.  The Homecoming Dance will take place on September 26th and doors will open at 7PM.

Headlining the night is DJ JayFunk, who brings the energy to crowds at Chicago Bears, Bulls, and White Sox games. A longtime KISS FM mix-show DJ, he knows how to keep thousands of fans energized, and now he’s bringing that same big-game atmosphere to our Homecoming dance. With laser lights, smoke, and other visual effects, the stadium will be transformed into an unforgettable party experience!

Expect great music, nonstop energy, and an amazing night with your friends. Since we’ll be celebrating on the stadium field, flat shoes are required, please do not wear heels.

Tech Campus

Is your high school student interested in hands-on career preparation, earning college credit, and gaining valuable industry credentials? Lake Zurich High School partners with the Lake County Tech Campus at the College of Lake County (CLC) to offer exceptional career and technical education programs ranging from healthcare and cybersecurity to automotive technology and more. Participating students leave LZHS for part of the school day to attend classes at Tech Campus, while spending the remainder of the day at LZHS taking their required high school graduation courses.

Important Application Information:

  • Applications Open: Online applications for the 2027–2028 school year officially open on October 15th.
  • Submit Early: Any student planning to attend Tech Campus next school year can complete and submit their application starting October 15th.
  • Course Registration Step: When students meet with their LZHS counselor for official course registration later in the year, they should let their counselor know that they have already submitted their Tech Campus application.

To explore available programs or submit an application starting October 15th, visit techcampus.org or reach out to the LZHS Counseling Team with any scheduling questions.
