"Senior Assassin" Information 2026

4/1/26

Dear Lake Zurich High School Parents/Guardians and Students,

It has come to our attention that some senior students are participating in an unsanctioned activity known as the "Senior Assassin" game. Please note that this game is NOT affiliated with or approved by Lake Zurich High School or District 95. Please see below for key expectations with respect to this game:

  • Students may not engage in this game or any game-related activity on school grounds, including the high school parking lot
  • Students are prohibited from bringing water guns, floaties, goggles, or any other game-related items onto school property, including parking lots
  • Participation in this game on school property, during school hours, or at school-sponsored events constitutes a violation of District 95 policies and may result in disciplinary consequences
  • Disciplinary consequences may result from actions causing disruptions to the school environment, engaging in conduct that could be perceived as a threat or intimidation, bringing weapons or “look-alike” weapons on school grounds, and/or failing to comply with staff directives

Important to note, possession of a “look-alike” weapon on school grounds is an expellable offense (see Board Policy 7:190 - Student Behavior). Beyond school disciplinary action, students should also be aware of potential legal consequences related to their behavior in the community -  including charges such as trespassing or disorderly conduct.

We are proactively communicating this information to prevent any serious incidents from occurring, as there have been notable concerns associated with this game in our Lake Zurich community - as well as in others. Our priority remains the safety and well-being of all students, staff, and community members. We appreciate your continued support in creating a safe educational environment.

If you have any questions, please contact your student’s dean.

Sincerely,
John L. Walsh
