Graduation Information for the Class of 2026!

Important Information & Dates Leading Up to Graduation

If you are interested in speaking at this year's graduation ceremony, please apply by CLICKING HERE. This application closes on April 17th. Those who submit a speech will be asked to read the speech to a selection committee made up of staff on April 23rd. Each senior who submits and application will be notified by email of when they will read their speech to the selection committee.

Yearbook Distribution

Students must present their student ID to pick up a yearbook. If a student did not purchase a yearbook, they can be placed on a waitlist by filling out THIS FORM.

Senior Yearbook Distribution Information:

Dates: May 6 - 8

Time: 10:45 am - 3:43 pm

Supplemental Yearbook Distribution Information:

Dates: June 22 - 25

Time: June 22 & 24 - 8:00 am to 12:00 pm

June 23 & 25 - 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Location: LZHS Main Entrance

*Early graduates please stop at the main entrance security desk and present your drivers license to get your yearbook.

Graduation Ticket Information

No tickets will be given out, but we request that each family limit the number of guests to eight people per graduate. Seating will be in the bleachers on the home side of the stadium.

In the event of inclement weather and we have to move the graduation indoors, we will be providing each graduate with four (4) tickets for the fieldhouse. If needed, we will provide each graduate with up to six (6) additional seats in the Performing Arts Center where we will livestream the ceremony. Not knowing if we will experience inclement weather, we are preparing the tickets for this alternate plan now. If you anticipate needing additional tickets for the PAC, please contact Mrs. Giese by phone at 847-540-4103 in the Main Office after May 1. Field House and requested PAC tickets will be distributed to your student during the graduation rehearsal on May 15th.

Ceremony Information

Graduation Behavior

During the graduation ceremony, all graduates and guests are reminded that any unkind or improper actions will not be tolerated. All are expected to show respect for the program, graduates, parents, relatives and other guests in attendance. Attendees want to hear their graduate’s name read. All school rules (i.e. no smoking, vaping, etc) are in effect while students are at all events including Commencement.

Visual Image Photography will be photographing your student's Graduation photos at this year's graduation ceremony. All images will be posted online for view and purchase about a week after Graduation. Please visit www.vipis.com to view & purchase your Graduation photos. Type in your school name and click on the graduation tile. Enter the student’s full name and an email address. This will bring up your student’s graduation day photos and link you to other event photos from this past school year. All print orders are sent directly to the address entered at checkout. Inclement Weather Plan

If we experience inclement weather on Sunday, May 17th we will reschedule the graduation to Monday, May 18th in the stadium at 7:00 pm. If there is inclement weather forecasted on Monday, May 18th, we will move the graduation ceremony into the fieldhouse.

If there is inclement weather planned for Sunday and we make the decision to move the ceremony to Monday, May 18th, we will send out communication via email and text message through our Blackboard communication system. Timing for these communications will be at approximately 7:00 am on Sunday, May 17th. If we have to move the commencement indoors on Monday, we will communicate through the same system at approximately 7:00 am on Monday, May 18th. We will only communicate if a change is made.
